This spacious traditional-style bedroom was lacking a peaceful and cozy feeling that our clients desired. The room was weighted down by dark, heavy antique furniture, yellow painted walls, and dated textiles. The room needed to be balanced with some creamy whites and blues. We replaced everything except for their rug, chandelier, and vintage chaise (which we reupholstered). Now the colors in the rug pop, the lighter walls and furniture make the room feel brighter, and we were even able to add more furniture without making the room feel cluttered.
